Services
CSS is pleased to serve the parishes of the Augusta deanery, and the surrounding area, with the following services:
- Emergency Food Pantry - Provides food for families in a crisis situation if they are not receiving food stamps. Distributes over 90 tons of food annually.
- Financial Assistance - Designed to assist families in crisis to prevent homelessness or eviction. Programs also exist to assist with past due rent and utilities.
- Prescription Medications - Designed to assist people who need critical medications, but do not have the ability to pay.
- Primary Care Provided by our affiliate, St. Vincent de Paul Health Center 706-828-3444 Health care services for the homeless.
- Thanksgiving and Christmas - Each year we provide meals to over 1000 people in 300 families at Thanksgiving. At Christmas we provide gifts for the whole family as well as complete meals.
- Birth Certificates - A One time, "by appointment only" service for those who cannot afford to obtain on their own.
- Thrift Store - Provides very low cost clothing, furniture, household goods, and appliances. (706) 737-8286 Mon. - Fri. 9-5, Sat. 10-4
- Home Visits - Available to assess health and home needs. Visits made by licensed nurses through the St. Vincent de Paul Health Center.
